It
is that time of year again. Practice will be starting on Monday Sept. 15th.
Generally, we will follow the same schedule. One change has been made to accommodate
some extra swimmers.
When you read the list below, please, take care of those
items that apply to you as soon as possible.
BOOSTER
FEES: This applies to everyone. The Booster Dues is a Sept. to Aug. fee.
Please, check the amount and get it in ASAP. U.S.S. registration, suits, caps,
shorts, etc
have to be ordered. We need the funds to do so.
OLD
FEES: If you are in the group that still owes from last season, please, bring
your
account up to date. To keep rebilling takes hours of computer time that
may not
be necessary.
PRACTICE
HOURS: Keep to your schedule. Lanes are set up by speed, not age.
Swimmers
need to keep up to be with a particular group.
NEW GROUPS: (one lane)
5 - 6 pm - mostly 8 & under
6 - 7 pm - mixed 12 & under
7 - 8
pm - mixed 12 & under

Mon/Wed/Fri - 5:30 - 6:30pm OR 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Mon thru Fri - 5:30 - 6:30 pm OR 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Mon thru Fri - 5:30 - 7:30
pm
DO NOT COME AT OTHER THAN ASSIGNED HOURS. OVERCROWDING BENEFITS NO ONE!
T.O.I.
FEES: These fees are based on a Jan. - Dec. calendar year. Continuing members
are charged this fee starting in January of each year. New members will be
charged a prorated fee now for the remainder of 2008. When paying these fees
PLEASE, fill out the "Islip Aquatics competitive Swim Team" form. This
form MUST accompany any monies paid to the "Town of Islip Dept of Parks
&
Rec.". Without this form your payment becomes a donation not your
registration.
MEETS:
The first meet is the Relay Carnival. Be ready. Selection is done by Coach
Assignment. We will need at least 8 swimmers per group to field all relays.
8 - 10 & under girls, 8 - 10 & under boys, etc
..
SIGN
OUTS: Check the meet sign out book. Know your family calendar. To get in
meets we need to process entries up to 12 weeks in advance of the meet. Once
entered, you are responsible for all fees. Don't hoard the book.
MAIN
TABLE: This is for information and notices only. Do not sit at it and block
access. Young siblings of swimmers need to find another area to color, etc
..
POOL
OFFICE: ALL SWIMMERS need to stay out. Use the back hall for entrance and
exit to the locker rooms. The office floor is extremely dangerous when wet.
RAINY/SNOWY
DAYS: Please, stay on the walks. Walking in and taking a shortcut
across
the grass drags unnecessary debris into the pool and locker area.
TEAM
SUITS,CAPS, ETC
Save these items for meets. All team members need
team equipment at meets. Don't wait to the last minute to secure new items
13
AND OVERS: You are expected to be full time (5 days for 2hrs/day). Any less
and
you are not competitive.
COMPETITION:
All members are expected to compete. No excuses. You need to swim
in IA meets.
ALWAYS
CHECK THE TABLE FOR LAST MINUTE INFO. You can find the answer to most questions
by reading the info on the table or posted on the wall in the lobby.
IF
YOU WISH TO SPEAK TO A COACH, PLEASE, DO SO EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER PRACTICE.
Don't take valuable time away from your child in the pool.
